AINC is hiring for the following position:

Job Title: Development Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Job Type: Full-time
Job Description: The AINC Director of Development is responsible for overall funding plans for the organization, including an annual fundraising plan, five-year outlook, and long-range perspective.  The individual chosen must be flexible and able to respond to opportunities for raising funds immediately.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports
  • Identify new funding sources in both the public and private sectors
  • Coordinate one annual fundraising event
  • Conduct donor membership campaign for volunteers and listeners
  • Maintain database of individual donors
  • Maintain records of all related funding correspondence and communications
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director

Skills and Abilities

  • Self-starting, energetic, and AINC mission motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build networks and collaborate with corporations, jurisdictions and non-profit organizations
  • Experience in grant writing and other methods of fundraising
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office software
  • Ability to build relationships with donors
  • Event coordination skills including public relations abilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education experience
  • 1 – 3 years of fundraising experience
  • Able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check
